Terms of Service
Effective October 14, 2026
These terms cover your use of RetainerPulse ("the service", "we", "us"): the website, the free instant scanner, the agency dashboard and the paid monitoring plans. By creating an account, subscribing or using the scanner you agree to them.
1. The service
RetainerPulse checks websites you register for SSL certificate validity and expiry, SPF and DMARC email records, and whether a contact form is present and submittable. It sends alerts when a check fails and produces white-label monthly reports that you can share with your clients.
2. Accounts
Your account is tied to the email address used at checkout. You sign in with a link sent to that address, so keep the mailbox secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
3. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance, at the prices shown on the pricing section at the time of purchase.
- Our order process is run by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC), which is the Merchant of Record for all orders. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, invoicing, sales tax and VAT, and customer service enquiries about billing, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the link in your receipt email or by contacting us. After cancelling, monitoring continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
- Each plan has a maximum number of monitored sites and a minimum check interval. If you downgrade, sites beyond the new limit are switched off (not deleted), and you choose which ones stay on.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. A change applies from your next renewal after the notice period.
4. Acceptable use
Only monitor or scan websites that you own or that you have permission to monitor, such as your clients' sites. You must not:
- use the scanner or monitoring to probe, overload or attack any website;
- try to get around plan limits, rate limits or access controls, or access other customers' data;
- resell the service as your own monitoring product, apart from sharing reports with your clients;
- use the service for anything unlawful.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. No guarantee
Monitoring helps you catch problems early, but it can't catch everything. Checks run on a schedule and depend on DNS, networks and the sites themselves. A check can miss a problem or report one that isn't there, and alerts can be delayed. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't guarantee uninterrupted operation, and you remain responsible for your clients' websites.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost leads, lost revenue or lost clients. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
7. Your data
You own the information you add, such as site addresses, your agency name and logo, and the reports generated for you. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. Anyone with a report's share link can view that report. You can revoke a link from the dashboard at any time.
8. Ending the service
You can stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms. If we ever shut down the service, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email and refund any prepaid period that remains unused.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
